Done deal!

Well, it's a done deal. I have my tickets for Billy Joel! Nov 29th at Energy Solutions Arena. I went for the cheaper seats so we're in the upper deck but front row and we have binoculars and it will be on the JumboTron too so it will be great. We're thinking of making a night of it and staying over in SLC that night. Wish I could find out what hotel Billy is staying at. I heard once he came down to the lobby late at night after a concert in Vegas and just played the piano. What an awesome experience that would be! I've always wanted to meet him. Not in the crazy fan sort of way, just a hi how are ya sort of way. I think it would be fun to just kick back and chat with him about his music. I even had a dream once that he visited my house and that's just what we did, sat back and chatted about music and then he played MY piano! He played Vienna which is one of my all time favorites of his music. That's one dream I was very sad to wake up from. He was such a cool guy in my dream! Maybe some day I will meet him. I never thought I'd see him at Madison Square Garden and that happened so hey! I guess anything is possible. :)

I had a good weekend. I took Friday off and took Sally and her friend Armida to the Aquarium. It was small but still fun. They petted the sting rays forever! Sally was soaking wet by the time we left. Then we stopped at the outlet stores and exchanged some things I had bought for Sally and looked around a bit. Then it was a late lunch at Weinersnitzel and home. It was a fun day.

I spent Saturday in Morgan helping mom and dad. We cleaned closets and it was quite fun. I got a great rain coat and a new temple dress and some other things too. It was a bit of a walk down memory lane as we found a lot of my old stuff. Some I wondered why I ever kept it and others brought back great memories. I found my stuffed kitty that I LOVED as a child. All the fur was rubbed off except a little on the tail and on the ears. It's eyes are gone and there are several stitch lines where mom repaired it over the years. It looks kind of scary now and I think it's time to throw it away but I brought it home to show my kids first. Sally said, "that's really cute mom" with a weird look on her face and I said 'no it's not it's scary!' and she breathed a sigh of relief and said she was trying to be nice! It was sweet of her to respect my old favorite kitty. Text-guy just laughed and couldn't believe I had kept it all these years.

Anyway, we got a lot done and mom feels all fresh and renewed. The floor of her bedroom closet isn't carpeted so it gave us a good idea of what we're going to find under the carpet. It looks good. The wood is nice and tight and I think it will sand and finish up just great. I'm starting to get anxious to get it going.

Enough for now. A little Billy to finish on... From Vienna, 'you've got so much to do and only so many hours in a day...'
