The outcome and other things...

It's been a while again and much has happened but I'll begin with Chip, the cat! I figured I'd better tell you the outcome of his 'tail.' Ha ha! Pun totally intended! (this is where my kids roll their eyes)! They successfully amputated it and now he is the most unique cat in the neighborhood, we can always spot him. He was pretty funny when he first got home from the vet. He would want to come home but couldn't walk very well because the anesthesia hadn't fully worn off. He also did not have control of his bodily functions and you guessed it, Sally thought he would be comfy on MY bed and he promptly peed on it! Well, it was time to wash the sheets again-and the mattress pad and the comforters! Oh well, I felt so sorry for him I couldn't be mad. He gets called 'Stubby' a lot now and likes to hold it straight up in the air so it looks like he's being followed by an exclamation point! Here's a picture:

Of course it looks better than this now as a lot of the hair has grown back. He looks really annoyed don't you think?

The other big thing around our house right now is football. It's been a pretty good season. We lost our first 3 but have walloped our last two opponents. I think the team is really getting it together. They have looked great the last two weeks. Tonight might be another story. We're facing the State Champs. Rumor is that they are not quite as good as last year but they are always tough. They call it BY High because at any given time there are at least 8 players on BYU's football team that attended Timpview. Parents move so their sons can play football there! I love football but that's over the top if you ask me. They also 'recruit' which is so against the rules and they say they don't but they do. Anyway, we're hoping to give them a run for their money at least and I know the guys are just saying they are going to concentrate on playing their best game and if they do, a win will follow. I hope it's true! It would be great to end their 3 season long winning streak.

That's about all I have time for at the moment. Life's got a hundred other crazy twists right now but it's too much to write! I said the other day, 'if it's not one thing-it's ten!' So true.

Billy is still getting me through 30 minutes on the elliptical every morning at 6:00 so let's see if there isn't something he can add to today's blog...hmmm how about, "sing us a song you're the piano man, sing us a song tonight. Well we're all in the mood for a melody and you've got us feeling alright."
